Create More Value Than You Capture - Tim O'Reilly

In the mentioned above talk, which was wonderful, some notions that were brought up by Tim were spot on, intriguing and interesting. In addition, during the talk he said that  Les Miserables   is his ultimate fave book, and mentioned the below quote:  " There was no pocket so obscure that it had not a little money in it; no dwelling so lowly that there was not some little joy within it. Father Madeleine gave employment to every one. He exacted but one thing: Be an honest man. Be an honest woman." I think this quote is a beautiful literary description of his talk. The whole talk is here .

2016 early insights

From the beginning of this new year, Ive been feeling strange, my mind was clear of thoughts, a total blank, and Ive not been quite nice towards people around me, maybe Ive seemed mean at times. Yet again I'm thinking about quitting college and my work, but don't have any courage to do it. I see my fellow students who listen hard and summarize during lessons.H owever, I could actually listen to data mining and computer networks classes only. Other classes seem not useful. The courses i take this semester are mandatory so i have to take them. It feels strange i think that at my age of 24 and a half - oh my god 😯 I cant still do anything by myself for myself, yeah sounds stupid, it will take me a lot of time to explain it. The only thing i did change, was my mind state about my poetry/songs writing. I think i can actually for the first time ever admit that I'm indeed an aspiring poetry writer. I don't think i really suck anymore. I do hope to publish my own book an

Dear readers, As you may have assumed I'm taking an innovation class this semester. I might add that for my last 2 and half years of studies - we've been asked numerous times to create some kind of app - and it was tiring, because you can't force someone to think and create a whole idea of sustainable app in the blink of an eye, and I've never even seen myself as an entrepreneur kind of gal. So lets put this issue of mine aside. This post is being created due to the fact that I've recently seen the first season of the Silicon Valley TV show which i think was amazing!  For the first the time ever i could witness the "Scrum" methodology - even though i think it was quite poorly executed in the show. Second of all, I was asked to see a video for my class, and the speaker was a VC company co founder - which was nice, because from the TV show you see the entrepreneur point of view, and from the video for class you could see the VC point of view. The spea

"Like the pheonix"

You have asked why did I smile Why did I go the extra mile I told you that I've surrendered I've taken all the guards off, with you I've been shaken up and blown apart Why have you shattered the guard of my heart? I told you that I've surrenderd I've been falling apart You came in and lifted me up You came with the map With all the routes straight to my heart You have made my system restart Just like the phoenix I've risen from the burnt ashes Just like the phoenix I have opted to start again But I wasn't afraid I told you that I've surrendered I've been shattered and you have pulled me together That's why I went the extra mile That's why I kept up the smile You came up, with all the routes directed straight to my heart You have shattered me apart You have built me up Like the phoenix, I've risen from the ashes Like the phoenix, I had a new fresh start
